APPLICATION PERIOD: OPENED

The Fundación Botín holds the III “Arturo Dúo Vital” International Chamber Music Composition Prize, in memory and recognition of Vital’s prolific career.

The prize is open to all composers of any nationality there being no limit to the amount of works that may be presented.
There will be a single award of 18.000 euros (subject to tax deduction).  The winning composition will be premiered at the International Festival of Santander.

The deadline for presenting works will finalize on the 31st of January 2014.

RESULT: Italian composer Andrea Portera has won the 2nd "Arturo Dúo Vital" International Chamber Music Composition Prize, with "RITUALS...at the threshold of the collective unconsciousness". It is composed for 7 instruments.
