Former house of Marcelino Sanz de Sautuola, famous palaeontologist who discovered the prehistoric caves of Altamira.

Madrid offices, Castelló Street, number 18. Botín Foundation

It is a building located at Castelló Street, number 18C, in the heart of Barrio de Salamanca in Madrid. It was built in 1920, according to the project of the architect Gonzalo Aguado for Espuñes silversmiths Factory. It was later rehabilitated by Enrique Bardají in 1996.

These offices are the location for Trend Observatory and the team of the programme of Science and Technology Transfer programme.

EXHIBITION ROOM:

It has almost 800 m2 of usable surface area split as follows:

> Ground floor (street level) with a height of 3,40 m.,
> mezzanine with a height of 2,70 m. and access by lift and stairs from inside, with a central space of 100 m2 and height of 5,90 m.

> Creating a space of absolutely neutrality: the work of art displayed rather than the space designed must take prominence.
> The communication between the two floors has helped improve the overall visual aspect and provided a very convenient perimeter walkway for works of art.

Daily from 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Closed the 25 December and 1 January; 24 and 31 December from 10:30 am to 14:00 pm.

The family home of Emilio Botín Sanz de Sautuola was donated to the Foundation by his son, Emilio Botín Ríos, in 2006. It was built in the "mountain regionalist" design style of the architect Javier González de Riancho between 1915 and 1918 on the Paseo de Pérez Galdós, number 30 in Santander.

This emblematic building which dominates the Bay of Santander hosts various Foundation functions.

Villa Iris, former summer house built in 1913 by the architect Eloy Martínez del Valle and renovated in 1944 by the architect Javier González de Riancho. Donated by Jesús García Fernández and currently used for training, research and experimentation activities.

The Casa Rectoral in Puente Pumar acts as Foundation´s operations centre in the Nansa valley, and it is an important meeting place and socioeconomic stimulant for the area´s residentes.
