The Botín Foundation responds to tis mission of contributing to society´s development and well-being by implementing programmes in fields in which needs have been detected, so as to promote dynamics and create transferable management models to other parts of Cantabria and further afield.

The Heritage and Territory Programme considers that TERRITORY with all its natural, landscape, cultural, economic and, in particular, human resources constitutes HERITAGE, known today as TERRITORIAL CAPITAL, which must be understood and managed globally as a whole through cross-cutting actions. It therefore proposes a medium/long-term Action Plan to promote sustainable development dynamics in a rural area in Cantabria: The Nansa and Peñarrubia valley.
