The mission of the Botín Foundation´s Observatory of Trend Analysis is to find out more about important issues and try to define trends that are determining change processes in societies today.

Its fields of action are socioeconomic and political development, administration of water resources, development of aesthetic and social ideas and new physical and energy horizons.

Each of these areas are treated differently in the Observatory. Its programmes are multi-year and are looked at in a multidisciplinary way by international specialists on each matter.
